Dorian Cundari, M.A., CCC-SLP, TSHH/NY, CAS Executive Director As Executive Director of BSL for the last 17 years, Dorian has been dedicated to the facilitation of improved communication in both children and adults. With over 25 years of clinical experience as a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist, she specializes in motor speech disorders, dysphagia, auditory processing disorders, and all facets of receptive and expressive language. She is well known for her thorough diagnostics. Dorian earned both her BA and MA degrees in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from St. John’s University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is licensed in both Connecticut and New York, holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology, maintains permanent New York State Teacher Certification, and is a Certified Autism Specialist. She is a member of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), New York Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NYSSHLA), and Connecticut Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA). Dorian also maintains membership in a host of other organizations including the Autism Society, Attention Deficit Disorder Association, National Association for Down Syndrome, National Down Syndrome Society, and the American Academy of Private Practice in Speech Pathology and Audiology. Dorian is an advocate for parents but is frequently called upon to consult with local school districts in order to provide advanced training in muscle based deficits and perform outside evaluations. Prior to founding Brookfield Speech and Language, LLC, in 2000, Dorian saw private clients in their homes and worked in a variety of settings including several schools (elementary and high school levels), Birth-to-Three in New York, Sara Johnson and Associates in South Salem, NY and dabbled in hospice care. In addition to the private practice which has attracted a large pediatric base, Dorian adds diversity to each day in her work with adults at Ability Beyond in Bethel, CT. She is a high energy, hands on clinician who looks forward to putting the pieces of each new puzzle together and happily embraces each new challenge. She continues to expand her knowledge by attending numerous continuing education courses, and has been a recipient of ASHA’s ACE award.
Item Link List Item 1Annie Seaboldt Anne is an accomplished Speech Pathologist and educator who has worked tirelessly to address the speech and communication needs of her students and clients over the past 35 years. She has deployed her skills in a variety of settings, including elementary and specialized school environments, health centers, and private settings, including the last 10 years at BSL. Anne earned a BA in Speech Pathology and Audiology and Elementary Education at Iona College and a Masters of Science in Speech Pathology from Brooklyn College. She is licensed in Connecticut and New York as a Speech Pathologist, carries a Certificate of Clinical Competence for Speech Pathology, is trained for PROMPTS (Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets), and a member of the American Speech Hearing Association. Over her three decades of practice as a speech and language professional, Anne has successfully worked with clients spanning a broad age range and with a widely varying level of need. She has significant experience and specialized training in therapy for children with autism spectrum disorder and has also serviced those challenged with severe and multiple disabilities. As a mother of an adult child with special needs, Anne has a heightened understanding of the unique challenges that families face together. She strives to bring an exceptional level of support and advocacy to her clients and their families as they navigate through those challenges.
